Attraction Marketing- Stop Chasing and Start Building Your Team!

attraction marketingIn today’s fast-paced, high-tech world of Internet marketing, there are many techniques from which you can choose that will benefit your business by increasing your reach, boosting your online presence and bolstering your mlm sign ups and sales.

And while there is a large debate about which method is best, there is certainly no denying that attraction marketing has become one of the biggest and most successful online marketing strategies to date, by and large.

But what makes this a little bit confusing is that attraction marketing in and of itself, is a little confusing to define.  That’s because so many people have different interpretations of attraction marketing, mostly because of its versatility.

Attraction marketing can be tailored to just about any business and business model you can think of, adapting its core values to help individuals and corporations attain their marketing goals.

From multi-level marketing strategies (MLM) to inbound marketing campaigns, attraction marketing is defined so differently because it is used so differently.  Still, there are a few basic tenets of attraction marketing that we can use to help define its essence, if not pin down its exactness.

The Many Faces of Attraction Marketing

To start off with, it should be noted that attraction marketing is not a new concept.  Overall, the basis of attraction marketing is to reach new customers and leads through the demonstration of value through affiliates and spokesmen.  Perhaps one of the most classic—and successful—examples of attraction marketing would be a company hiring a celebrity to endorse their product or service.  To this day, this marketing strategy is still used, though mostly in print and television.

But with the integration of online marketing strategies, companies have refined their techniques and thus, redefined attraction marketing.  While the message of value is still at the underlying core of the strategy, it is now done in a manner that is far more cost-effective, utilizing the viral capabilities of the internet instead.

In a nutshell, the social aspect of the internet has taken the cost—and the celebrity—out of attraction marketing and replaced them with webpages and network marketing representatives.

Inbound Marketing versus Outbound Marketing—The New Attraction Marketing

Still, the ultimate goal of attracting leads to your mlm business or company website rather than going out and actively  recruiting them is the main focus of modern day attraction marketing on the internet.  For example, rather than cold-calling customers or sending out individual emails (or even email blasts), it has become far more prevalent to create content that attracts leads to your site.  This can be accomplished in any number of ways.

For example, affiliate marketing is a great way to leverage the work of others to boost traffic to your site.  Essentially, you provide your affiliate partners with personalized links to your site and when they drive traffic to your site that results in a conversion, you pay them a commission.

The affiliate partners will then go create their own sites, content and social media pages which increase not only your perceived value, but also your reach.  In a nutshell, your attraction rating is instantly extended by extension of your affiliate sites.

Overall, the point here is that your marketing dollar is going to be better served by inbound marketing than outbound marketing.  Given that internet searches mainly bring in your targeted audience (thanks to search engine algorithms that promote relevancy over bulk traffic), it’s generally accepted that spending money on attraction marketing is going to spend your marketing dollar on your targeted audience, rather than say a print ad which would reach more people, but not necessarily more potential leads that are high-conversion customers.

Becoming a Thought Leader and Authority Figure in your MLM Business attraction marketing

Another method of attraction marketing is establishing yourself as an industry leader in your particular niche.  Once again, there are many ways to go about this, but some of the most popular are blogging and social media sites.  Both are equally effective when utilized correctly, but for some businesses, blogging fits better than social media—and vice versa—for establishing authority.

In the end, it really comes down to tailoring your message across multiple mediums to get your brand across in the way that you want it to.

With blogging, there are many goals, all of which are served simply by creating keyword-centric blogs that provide value, interesting and fresh viewpoints, and are consistently churned out.  When this happens:

  • You rank higher in search engine result pages (SERPs) thanks to increased keyword reach and fresh, relevant content.  This means more incoming traffic and higher perceived value because of ranking position on the SERPs.

  • Your content has a higher chance of going viral because of value and viewpoint, thus further increasing your reach and attraction marketing factor.

With social media marketing, your attraction factor is spread through organic and paid reach, giving you a better chance to not only recruit potential partners, but also establish stronger bonds with your current customers.  Social media is all about interaction and engagement, both of which serve to give you a chance to get your value-based message out there to your potential leads and current customers.

This is integral to attraction marketing.  Plus, when you engage your fans, followers, etc., you also show up on their friends and family’s social media sites, further increasing your reach.  Because they are closely related to your target audience, there’s a good chance they are part of your target audience as well.

How to Get Started with Attraction Marketing

As you can see, it’s hard to pinpoint the exact definition and usage of attraction marketing because it is so fluid and wide-ranging a concept.  No matter what your business is, what your goal is or what your current online marketing strategy is, attraction marketing can fit right in, helping you to sponsor more, boost sales and achieve all of your current and future goals.

The Pro’s and Con’s of Network Marketing

The Pro’s and Con’s of Network Marketing

mlm chart

Network Marketing If you know my story, the network marketing industry is where I began my path to being an entrepreneur. I love the network marketing industry, I grew up with it, and had I not made the decision to be a successful network marketer, I would have never discovered the amazing world of internet marketing. So here is some basic information on the business to help you make an educated decision in your entrepreneurial efforts. If you’re already in network marketing, you will want to incorporate online marketing techniques to help you get more leads for your network marketing business. I personally hated trying to get my friends and family on board with my biz and the internet helped me find a targeted stream of leads on a daily basis. And seriously, what’s a business without leads, right?

Network Marketing|What is it exactly

Wikipedia says, network marketing or multi level company, is way of doing business in which a sales force earns a commission not only for sales of products and services they personally generate, but also for the sales of others they recruit and bring into the business, which creates a down-line of distributors and a hierarchy of multiple leveraged levels of compensation. Multilevel marketing is the business plan or structure that Network Marketing and Direct Sales use. network marketing women Companies like Amway and Tupperware have been doing this successfully for over 50 years. There could be multiple levels of customers in a distribution hierarchy with distributors bringing in more people into the distribution network which are rewarded with a bonus income on top of any retail sales earnings. This structure is very similar to franchising. Network marketing and Direct Sales fall under the same umbrella, where products or services are offered on a one-on-one basis and sold directly by the salesperson to the consumer. However, direct sales people are paid based on their personal sales rather than on building an organization of other salespeople, unless you achieve the level of a manager. And since most products marketed by direct selling companies tend to be durable goods rather than consumable goods, there usually is limited potential for residual income. When you thing of the direct selling industry, think home party companies like Mary Kay or Avon. Start up costs? Most companies offer a starter kit designed to help the new distributor to get their business up and running . These kits usually come with catalogs, business flyers, samples, demonstration products and assorted other business supplies. The size and amount of product you receive will determine the cost of the kit. The starter kit combined with a small registration fee can run you any where from $30-$1,000. Monthly costs? The majority of network marketing and direct sales companies feature an auto-ship program which allows you to satisfy the minimum monthly volume requirements required to qualify for commissions at your level. Depending on the products offered, the monthly costs can run around $70-$300.   Pro’s Work your own hours Many people join who join an MLM already are working part time or full time outside the home. You can work your business whatever hours you choose. Of course, the more hours you put into your business the faster it will grow, but even a few hours a week of positive action will yield results for you in a year or two. Choose who you want to work with This is unlike a job where you have no control over who your coworkers are. In network marketing you pick the people you want to share your business with. This is why many network marketers start with friends and family first. They know you and trust you and what you have to say about your product or service. So we decide who we want to work with, and its up to them if they decide to join us. Low sign up fees Most network marketing companies have low sign up fees and monthly requirements. Where else can you start a business for less than $100 which is typical for most MLMs. Contrast this with a franchise which costs thousands to buy, and then you have employees and all the headaches which can come with owning a brick and mortar business. In most cases you are required to make a monthly purchase of product or products to stay in good standing with the company, which can range from $50 – $100 a month or so.

No staff to hire, and usually no paperwork. Your MLM mails out the checks, delivers the products to your customers and distributors, and handles any returns. Your job is to introduce new people to your product and business and the company handles the rest for you. If you decide to learn how to use the internet to market your network marketing opportunity, then you are not just limited to who you know or who you can physically meet. If you are in a network marketing company that is global or at least in multiple countries you can sign up a distributor who lives thousands of miles away from you, whom you would otherwise never have in your organization. Those who want to market online will often choose a company in multiple markets for this reason, so they are not limited to North America.

Residual income Perhaps one of the biggest advantages of building a network marketing business is the opportunity to create residual income. In the early stages of building your business you will be greatly underpaid for the work that you are doing. However, if you stick with it, eventually you will get to the point where you are greatly overpaid for the work you do. It can take anywhere from several months to a few years to be earning a large income from your network marketing company. However with the residual income you will get paid indefinitely from work you did once, over and over again, as long as you are on a monthly autoship order. Commissions are only paid when product is purchased or consumed. You can save a lot on taxes. Depending on where you live, you may be able to deduct part of your phone bill, internet, travel expenses that are business related, any tools you need to market your business, and more. Read my article on some of the items you can declare on your taxes

Cons’

Though the MLM/Network Marketing business model has been successfully and legally doing business for over 50 years, there is still some that believe it’s a pyramid scheme. New marketers usually have to contend with that stigma. Most people getting into the business don’t really understand that this IS in fact a sales and marketing business and they need to be open to learning how to position themselves. Finding people to market to has always been limited to friends and family (until online marketing came along) and companies are still teaching this way of prospecting. Because of this, people often times get discouraged and quit the business too soon. One of the top reasons people quit network marketing is due to lack of support up-line. Often times its easy to get sponsored by someone who wasn’t trained correctly (my experience) and has no understanding of the industry they signed up for. Like an absentee parent, they’re not there to help you build you business, which is the ultimate role of someone who sponsors you in. Read my article how to choose a network marketing company. Offline prospecting can be a headache and sooner or later you’re going to run out of friends and family to pitch to! To tap into an endless stream of leads, you need to get online, and you need to have a system! If you’re hurting for leads, but don’t have a fortune to spend on the training to learn how to get leads, I highly recommend that you plug into a proven system that will not only train you, but will do all of the marketing for you. Which of the Four MLM Compensation Plans Should You Stay Away From?

Which of the Four MLM Compensation Plans Should You Stay Away From?

mlm compensation plans 450MLM Compensation Plans Reviewed

When starting out in network marketing, your two main concerns should be, finding the right company to affiliate yourself with as well as finding the right MLM compensation plans.  Many times, the two are almost interchangeable as they both are vital to your personal success.  Pick the right company with the wrong compensation plan and you could find yourself doing tons of work with no reward.  Meanwhile, another person in your downs line could do a fraction of the sales you are making and rake in hundreds of thousands each month. The key to finding the right multi-level marketing (MLM) compensation plans is educating yourself about the different types of plans out there.  There are four basic MLM compensation plans, each of which can be slightly altered to create customized plans for a better fit with the company.  Knowing what each brings to the table will help you choose the best compensation plan for your success.

Unilevel | MLM Compensation Plans Explained

Generally considered the easiest plan to not only understand, but to work within as well. The unilevel plan works on a simple concept: recruit as many frontline associates as you like without any width limitations.  There are typically limited depths that you can receive commissions from, but this is a great way for anyone looking to break into MLM or for those who just want to work with a network part time. Of course, because you only have a frontline, all of your recruits then become crossline competitors making it difficult to establish teamwork without bonuses.  It’s advisable that you don’t recruit friends and family in this plan, but rather use a lead generation system to recruit outside associates.  Still, this is a simple way to get paid in that the more people you recruit, the higher your commission check will be.  Plus, there are a lot of bonuses—including rank advancement rewards—typically paid out with unilevel MLM compensation plans.

Stairstep Breakaway | MLM Compensation Plans Explained

The stairstep breakaway is the oldest compensation plan in MLM, making it an attractive alternative for startups since all the groundwork has already been laid out before them.  Basically, with the stairstep plan, once you reach a certain level of sales or success, you “breakaway” from your upline and become your own independent organization known as a “generation.”  This allows you to earn a greater commission check each month since there is no one above you to pay out to (with the exception of the override commission which still goes to the original sponsor). Like the unilevel MLM compensation plans, there is no maximum width here, so all recruits are frontline, but that still leaves the crossline competition, meaning small chances for advanced teamwork.  Plus, just as you are eligible for a breakaway, so is your downline, meaning you could lose your top sellers as they breakaway.  This means a big hit to your short-term revenue.  Of course, you will still receive override commissions from your original recruits, giving you some residual potential earnings down the line. The complicated parts of this plan come with meeting group sales volumes and personal sales volumes.  There are typically about three or four “steps” for you and your organization to move up before breaking away into your own generation.  Moving up these steps requires you to meet the group volumes and personal volumes.  Plus, once members of your organization breakaway, they have to meet their own group sales volume for you to earn your commission.  If the company sets unrealistic volumes, things can turn out very poorly for you and your distributors.

Binary | MLM Compensation Plans Explained

One of the newer plans introduced to MLM, binary compensation is very different from the previous two types of plans we discussed.  As its name suggests, binary works on the principle of two, in that you can only recruit two frontline associates.  This is your left and right leg and there are no depth limits meaning you can build as large or stay as small as you’d like.  Put quite simply, the goal here is to create a fully operational sales leg through downline recruiting and team building.  Then, all the two teams have to do in order for everyone to earn maximum profit is match their sales point volumes each week. Not always easy and not one of my favorite plans! For example, if the right leg generates 1000 points and the left leg generates 1000, both legs are paid on that commission.  However, if that right leg only generates 800 points, both teams are paid 800 and the left leg carries 200 points of sales over into the next period (there is often a limit to this carry over after which the potential profits are “flushed,” or lost).  The upside is that this helps create an environment where teamwork is critical and encouraged—everyone’s commission is only as good as their weakest leg. These MLM compensation plans get a little more complicated when you start buying business centers (001, 002 and 003) as each center can have two legs, giving you center 001 which has a right and left leg, 002 which also has two legs and 003 with another two legs.  Then, the legs must work together even more in order to maximize profits.  To keep it effective, you would attempt to recruit two frontline distributors and work to balance out an optimum number of sales.  Add new recruits to weaker legs and work up from there.

Matrix | MLM Compensation Plans Explained

Also called a forced matrix plan, matrix plans have a defined width and depth.  This maximum is indicated by the numbers used to describe the plan, such as a 5 X 7 matrix.  This simply means that there is a maximum number of five width in each level at a maximum of 7 levels.  Depending on the plan, you can decide where in the matrix you wish to place your new recruits or just have them fill in the next available spot on the downline. The upside to matrix plans is that their limited structure bodes well for teamwork and organization.  One of the major drawbacks here is that the variable compensation levels makes it entirely possible for certain levels to be completely isolated in terms of help and growth.   To avoid this, look for narrow widths and deep depths such as a 2 X 12 matrix rather than 8 X 4.  Not only will the levels pay down “infinitely,” but more help will be given to generate better profits all around.  Still, the forced matrix isn’t very popular, accounting for just under 10% of all MLM compensation plans in practice.

What are the Best MLM Compensation Plans?

So which MLM compensation plan is the best?  The answer to that depends on many factors. How long has the company been in business? Are the products unique and in demand? The point here is to do your research, test the grounds a bit. If it’s a struggle to get your first decent payout, it may not be worth the effort. Regardless of which plan you choose, finding a way to generate leads is where people get lost and end up quitting before they ever get started.

Successful Network Marketer or Struggling Distributor – Which One Are You?

Successful Network Marketer or Struggling Distributor – Which One Are You?

Close up of angry shouting entrepreneur against a white background

You’re probably familiar with the story of the struggling distributor that is frustrated with the complete lack of success in her network marketing business. And if you are in the MLM business, you probably know a few of your colleagues who perfectly fit this description.

Most of them have started MLM thinking it is a piece of cake, only to discover they have to struggle in order to survive in this competitive world. They fervently envied the success of other network marketers who seemed to have incredible luck.

But is it only luck that differentiates those who succeed from those who do not?

In fact, one of the biggest mistakes made by those who fail is to think that luck, flair or talent is all you need to make it to the top.

The reality is, successful network marketers are the ones who constantly improve themselves, working continuously, with the purpose of becoming the best, and making a name for themselves

branding themselves as the expert in their field.

The rapid world of network marketing is no place for those who cannot keep up with the latest techniques and marketing tactics.

The network marketer of today knows that they are more than just a product pusher; they know that chasing friends and family is a dead-end street. They take hold of the opportunity that the MLM business model has to offer, continue to learn new marketing strategies and turns their business into an empire.

Besides having a great capacity to self-improve, successful network marketers are positive, optimistic and capable of learning from mistakes.

They don’t dwell on their failures like frustrated distributors do. They see failures as opportunities to grow. When facing a problem, they do their best to find a solution and never look for excuses to avoid the situation.

They confront it with all the weapons they have.

Quitting is never an option for the Network Marketer.

People who succeed in MLM must have the mindset of a real business owner – they should not see themselves as simple distributors for a company. You can’t imagine how much of an impact the way you see yourself has on what you actually can become.

Successful network marketers know how to set realistic goals and work to attain them. Because they are visionaries, they can envision success and do their best to come closer to it.

And finally, those who succeed in the dynamic and competitive world of network marketing have high work ethics and know that success comes through effort, hard work and correctness, and never through sheer luck;

so, do you have what it takes to be a successful network marketer or are you satisfied with just being a distributor? It’s all up to you.

How to Make Your Dream to Work from Home Come True

The possibility to work from home represents an ideal solution for those who want to make more money, have more free time to spend with the kids, and more freedom to enjoy life, or for those who are fed up with traveling miles and miles from home to their workplace and back every day.

Of course, that ideal is rarely realized, so most people find themselves going through the motions feeling stuck in that “Groundhog Day” called Corporate America. Yet constantly wondering where and how they could possibly find a home based job or business of their own, that will ultimately free them from the daily grind so that they can finally live the life of their dreams. In order to obtain a home based job, or at least find some opportunities, specialists recommend that you follow the same steps as if you were looking for a regular job:

  • Let everyone around you know what you want, because they could see an offer you missed or know someone that knows someone in the work from home industry. Tell your neighbors, friends, relatives and work colleagues.
  • Post your intentions online, on your social network profiles, your messenger status or on the various forums you are a member of. You never know who might have a connection.

You cannot be the first person interested in that offer, and someone out there will tell you sooner or later if it is worth following or not.

Among the offers to work from home, you will probably find proposals to join MLM networks that have become quite popularwork from home and have managed to bring success to a large number of people from all social categories, some more successful than others. There are also copywriting and editing jobs available in various fields, offered mostly by magazines and information websites, but also by various content service providers, and you may want to consider tutoring and accounting as well. Social Network Marketing – Fit In Or Get Left Out

Social Network Marketing – Fit In Or Get Left Out

social network marketingSocial Network Marketing – Fit In Or Get Left Out

To those of you network marketers out there who are tired of the old school prospecting methods; take note: one of the hottest moneymaking strategies circulating on the net right now is networking using social media. Yeah, social media, like face book and YouTube to name the top two.

It’s now being coined “Social Network Marketing” and it is already providing network marketers like you and me the ability to tap into a virtually unlimited source of prospects, creating the kind of income you were promised when you signed up but at a much greater speed and with less painstaking footwork, if you get my drift.

Now if you’re afraid of using a Social Network Marketing Strategy to prospect online, then stop reading because there are a lot of things you need to understand with social network marketing before you jump in and it’s not for the faint of heart. There are a whole bunch of network marketers utilizing the social groups right now, so it’s a pretty crowded marketplace, however, most of them are doing it wrong…..I’m going to give you some pointers so you can get started the right way.

Social Network Marketing on FaceBook

It’s important to keep an eye out on your competition and see what the successful ones are doing. As Rob Fore says, “Success leaves Clues.” There’s no shame in doing what the leaders are doing. You will probably find that most of the successful leaders are on all of the popular social sites all the time, and I mean All Of The Time! Like 3 and 4 times per day! No joke.

Social networking is a hands-on, every day business and it requires some time for learning and application. It’s not like having a blog where you can write an article 2-3 times a week and be done with it. The word “social” means exactly that, you have to be an online social butterfly. But don’t let that scare you, there are a lot of tools out there designed to make the process easier and less time consuming.

When you make the decision to get into social networking you’ve got to build your persona or your brand for yourself in order to make people believe that they Know, Like and Trust you.

Now here is where a lot of network marketers get things wrong. Just because you have a personal Facebook page where you are interacting with your friends all the time, and you totally get what it means to be social, doesn’t mean you should start marketing your MLM business opportunity on your personal page. Yes, it’s the same concept, but you must keep your business completely separate from your private FB page.

No one is going to take your business seriously if your friends are posting pictures of you at a party looking a “bit on the drunk side”, right?! I’m sure you get the point. So keep it separate and brand yourself as the expert in your industry, people will take you seriously and want to do business with you. Also, don’t continually push your biz op once you get your FB fan page either. Itsocial network marketing just doesn’t work. People need to get to know you and you need to offer something to your fans that provide value, so you gotta get busy and figure out what that “value” looks like. I’ll write more about that in another article.

Video Social Network Marketing

YouTube is the place to be! Everyone and their mother is saying how hot YouTube is right now and it ain’t showing any signs of slowing down. It is one of the most popular platforms today, so if you’re going to get into social network marketing, you had better figure out how to make some good videos that showcase your beautiful face! If you are camera-shy (like me!) then you (we) are just going to have to get over it! (I’m working on that myself..lol). Now to me, making the videos is the easy part, but if your not sure how to create one there are tones of programs out there that will give you the step by steps. Whether we like it or not, making videos has become an integral part of marketing today, it’s in e-mails, on social network sites, on websites, just all over the place, so let’s not miss out on that money train.

Social Network Marketing IS Attraction Marketing.

Because of this, we want to make sure to be are selves when we are on camera, just be you. As one of my teachers would always say, “You Can Be You Better Than Anyone Else Can.”  That being said, as tempting as it may be to just show a screen capture video or a picture of your smiling face, you will never achieve the level of success that I know you want to achieve if you don’t go out on that limb and get your face in front of that camera and speak your peace for all the world to hear. People will start being attracted to you. When I say that I’m speaking to myself first! Not that screen capture videos don’t have their place, just don’t hide behind them. People need to know you, who you are and what you are about.

Ok, so if you want to master the art of social network marketing for online M.L.M lead generation, think attraction marketing, think leads, think branding, think about “building a business” not just a downline.

If you can get this right you can literally create leads on demand, make hundreds of dollars in commissions, and sign up more people in a month than most people do in a year, and that’s no B.S… By simply promoting on the two social networks that we’ve discussed here, you can create a M.L.M business you can be proud of.

Listen, no one is born knowing how to master social network marketing!

You can learn how to get famous on FaceBook, CLICK HERE TO LEARN HOW. You can be the next YouTube superstar if you’re willing to get in the know….and if you are CLICK HERE to get started. Whatever you choose, don’t be a social network marketing moron, do it right or don’t do it at all!
