Article Writing Tips|article writingWhat You Need for Writing the Perfect Article

I consider myself pretty serious when it comes to article writing. My intention is not to just hop online and start writing gibberish. I firmly believe that everything you write should have some type of meaning behind it. Writing the perfect article really isn’t as difficult as one might think. The first thing you want to realize when writing an article is that you want real people reading it. Think about a topic that people will actually want to read about. Don’t write like you are giving a dissertation, write like you speak.

After you have picked a topic that relates to your target market, make sure you check out these steps to writing the perfect article:

Writing The Perfect Article| Use Correct Grammar

Some people think that grammar is not all the important when writing an online article. Not true. Though you don’t want to sound like a professor, it is important to write so people can read and understand you or else they will become highly frustrated. Think about how important grammar truly is. If it wasn’t important than why would your teacher mark your grade down for bad grammar? There is a reason why people who need to hire writers, want to hire writers who are native to the language. You can be good at speaking the language, but writing the language is another story.

Writing The Perfect Article|Break up the Article

Breaking up your article into readable junks is important. When writing your article make sure to avoid really long paragraphs;  The reason behind this principle is that reading from a computer or an iphone can be difficult and you can lose your spot easily. Also, when people see long paragraphs they will be more inclined to skim through it instead of actually reading the whole thing. Try to break up your article so that it’s a lot easier to read.

Writing The Perfect Article|The Right Language

I like to say that there is a right tone for each article you right. My blog has a more relaxed tone because I’m talking to a group of ordinary people who have chosen the difficult yet rewarding task of starting their own business. There may come a time when your article needs to match the tone of the audience you are speaking to. A technical article is going to have a more professional tone, a good example of this are eBooks. It’s important to know who your audience is so that you can speak to them in the right language and tone. Remember, people relate better to people who they feel are more like them.

Writing The Perfect Article|Always Double Check Your Article

Writing the perfect article comes easy for some, but the editing part may be a real nightmare. After you have written your masterpeace, it’s important to do a quick check of the article. Some experts say to come back after a few hours to recheck the article, I can testify to that!  Others have a keen eye for editing and they can spot errors right away. It’s important to re-read your article to check for the following:

  • Does the article make sense?
  • Value- What will my reader get out of this article?
  • Are there transitions, does it flow nicely?
  • Is the article readable?
  • And of course, use your spell check.

If you are unsure about any of these answers, then have a friend look over your article for you. Remember, learning to write an effective article can take you from a novice to an authority in the business world.    Once you get your articles up and ready for promotion, I recommend you check out this free training on how to get 50-100 leads from your article marketing efforts. Email Marketing|How to Build an Email List

Email Marketing|How to Build an Email List

email marketingEmail Marketing, How to Build an Email List

If you are involved in Network Marketing or own a home based business, then you know how important having an email marketing list is. Email Marketing is probably one of the top mediums marketers and business owners use to communicate with clients. You know the saying; the power is in the list? Creating relationships is one of the main reasons you should be building your email marketing database. Remember, it’s easier to market to existing customers than to find new ones. Keep an eye on the next few steps, so you can learn how to build an email marketing list that can help grow your business exponentially.

Tap into your existing email marketing list

Chances are you have some sort of email list already. Maybe you have friends that are interested in what you have to offer, or someone you met a business function where you exchanged business cards.  Start building your list by tapping into what you already have. Think back to any contact you may have made and add them to your email marketing list. Understand that you are not spamming them, if it is a business acquaintance, reintroduce yourself if you haven’t spoken to them in a while and ask if they would like to be added to your email list. Even if they are not your targeted audience, it is still a start to building your email directory.

Gather friends and family emails as well because they are also a start to creating a potential client list. Also, keep in mind that just because they are not using your services, that does not mean they won’t forward your information to someone who may be interested in what you have to offer.

Email Marketing and Social Media

I have talked about social media before because it’s a great way to gather contacts. FaceBook allows you to set up a welcome or Fan page where people can enter their information. If you use this information responsibly, you can gather several different email contacts, but be aware, FaceBook has made in increasingly difficult to promote your business, make sure you understand the new rules so you stay out of FaceBook jail. The important part of email marketing is that you treat your email addresses like gold. Never spam your contacts and always send them useful information. Never, ever, ever sell your email list to someone else and never buy email addresses from outside sources. That is a sure way to brokes-ville in the business world.

Email Marketing and Capture pages/ Opt-in pages

A capture page is a single page on the internet that is solely for the use of obtaining potential subscribers contact information. The page is kept very simple to keep the subscriber focused on the important information. Without giving too much information away, but just enough to peek their interest; you encourage the prospect to enter their name and email information. Many marketers offer a free e-Book or “enter to win” prize if they subscribe to their list.

Content is King

Throughout my research I always come back to the same information. Content is King on the Internet.  I personally enjoy blogging and try my best to give out valuable information. Those who have found my information useful will subscribe to my email newsletter and updates. You have the same ability to create content that appeals to your targeted audience. Just keep in mind that it takes time to gain followers that will eventually subscribe. It will happen, but give it some time.

Email marketing is a whole new world.

Before email marketing the target was home addresses.

A good portion of your profits were spent on postage alone. Thank goodness for the invention of email marketing. It’s now the preferred method for list building without all the costs. Your key to creating an email list is to make sure you do it properly, no shortcuts. It’s like the people who purchase fans for their Facebook fan page, (yeah, people really do that!). It might look like you have a lot of “fans” but in reality it’s all smoke and mirrors. The business owners who succeed in building their contact lists are the ones who do it the right way. Build relationships, write original content, be patient and consistent, and you’ll begin to see your email marketing list grow and your business explode.

Stop pulling your hair out trying to fill up your email list!! You don’t have to do ALL of this alone! There is a TURNKEY system that will do the hard work for you; BUILD YOUR Email Marketing LIST ON AUTOPILOT!

MLM Lead Generation: Do It Yourself or Find A System To Do It For You?

MLM Lead Generation: Do It Yourself or Find A System To Do It For You?

mlm lead generation

Without a good MLM lead generation plan, you’re not very likely to get far in network marketing. If hanging around malls passing out fliers or talking to the strangers 3 feet away from you at the gas station is the only way you’ve been taught to find leads….you might just give up before you ever get started.

So the question is; how do you do it, how do you find people who are interested in your business opportunity and what qualifies as a good plan? The answers are varied and widely depend on personal preferences. There are basically two ways of getting leads: get them yourself, or find and use a lead generation systems that can get you targeted leads on a consistent basis.

MLM Lead Generation Systems

Let’s start with the latter category. You’ll findmany companies specializing in lead generation and they are normally online based, meaning they incorporate online marketing strategies in marketing format. The obvious advantage to using this type of platform is that it can saves you an enormous amount of time and frustration that often comes with trying to build your down line.

On the other hand, some MLM lead generation companies have the habit of sending you leads that have nothing to do with your target market or even worse, advise you to buy their leads which is never a good idea. If you’re going to use a MLM lead generation marketing system for your business you need to make sure they offer the following services:

  • Online marketing tools that are plug in play, i.e., easy to use and understand
  • Training and support
  • Offer online and offline strategies
  • An Attraction Marketing platform for targeted leads
  • Affiliate products so you can increase your income stream while you’re prospecting.
  • An irresistible offer you can present to your prospects even if they say no to your biz op.

The majority of MLM lead generation companies teach new distributors to go out and find leads completely offline. This do-it-yourself method has been working for over 50 years and is still an effective technique that everyone should learn.  However, many people find it difficult and uncomfortable to pitch to their family and friends let alone a stranger in a mall or at the gas station.

So, if I’m more of an introvert, should I forget network marketing all together? If I’m afraid to approach people and sell, does that mean I have to give up on my dreams of owning my own business? I say, of course not! Anyone can be successful in network marketing! There are countless 6-7 figure a month earners out there who are just as introverted. They pushed passed their personality and found a way to make it work. The important thing is to have as many marketing strategies available to you so that you can find the one that’s right for you. MLM lead generation companies that take advantage of online marketing strategies offer the best platform for success.

I personally was not the most talkative person in the world under certain situations and had a lot of trouble approaching my warm market. This is why I chose an MLM lead generation platform that taught me how to attract leads to me instead of me chasing them. Now I still had to talk to people, but it’s much easier when you know that person has been qualified and is already interested in some type of MLM opportunity.

Right now, there are quite a few good MLM lead generation systems out there on the net, each having their own dedicated fan base. Before you decide which one to join – if you want to, that is – you should thoroughly research them and their history, use the check list above as your guideline.  If you are eager to start and, at the same time, want to learn how to generate your own leads, I have some free training that will help you in your online and offline marketing efforts.

MLM lead generation can be a daunting task but it doesn’t have to be. The beauty of having a TURNKEY system available is that it can do the hard work for you; the marketing strategies, the capture pages, the auto responders, and the affiliate sales funnels.

Everything you need for mlm lead generation so you can explode your business by building a successful down line.

Mobile Marketing-Reach Your Target Audience Using This Hot New Marketing Trend.

Mobile Marketing-Reach Your Target Audience Using This Hot New Marketing Trend.

sms_text_mobile marketingMobile marketing is a relatively new, but highly effective advertising method. It entails marketing on or with a mobile device, such as a cell phone using SMS Marketing technology (Short Message Service). If you haven’t heard of it and you’re looking for a very effective and convenient way to promote your business and generate sales, you’ve found it with this exciting new marketing trend.

Read on to find out how to make it work for you.

Know Your Audience

It’s important to find out what kind of cell phones your potential customers use in order to create a mobile marketing campaign adapted to your target audience. Are they working with advanced technology or are they still in the dark ages? 😉 If they are utilizing the latest in smartphones and subscribe to plans with a good amount of bandwidth, then have some fun with it. Build a good mobile friendly site with lots of pictures and videos.

On the other hand, if your customers do not have access to the more sophisticated mobile phones, create a simple mobile site, usually one or two pages, without all of the bells and whistles, since that would make it take longer to load on a mobile device. Stay up to date with your audience through surveys and studies to find out if any changes have been made.

Get The Word Out

Let people know about your mobile marketing campaign. If you own a website or blog, write about your venture and mention it on social networks and forums. Lure them in with promotional discounts that you’re offering on your mobile site or submit it via text alerts.

Another cool thing you could do is create a subscription form and place it on every page of your site to get your visitors’ attention. You could have a contest and ask people to subscribe to your mobile marketing alerts to enter. Keep people interested in your campaign once they subscribe by giving out discounts.

Be Consistent and Thorough

Don’t let people fall by the way side. It’s important to keep what you have to offer in the minds of your prospects. Send text alerts on a regular basis, but make sure every text message is relevant and valuable. Sending more than one alert a week is counter productive and most people will perceive your campaign as too aggressive. Create short but sweet messages to get your audience’s attention right away. Explain your offer quickly and add a link to your mobile site or have a promotional code your customers can use to redeem their discount.

In order to keep track of how many people are actually reading your messages and clicking your link, research and utilize some of the various mass texting software that are out there. Use the results to write better messages and advertise other products and specials your audience may be interested in.

Fresh Content

You know the saying by now, content is king! Make sure to update your mobile site with fresh new content every time you send out a text alert. Provide more information about the discounts you are offering. If you can, create a newsletter and add subscription forms, as well as links to your social network profiles. If possible, allow people to order products directly from your mobile site. You should also give them the option to access your regular site. Once again, test, test, and test your mobile site on different devices before you launch it. Your site should be easily accessible and adapted to small screens.

One other cool element if your clients have Smartphone’s is that you can start developing apps for them. You have so much flexibility here. You could develop games related to your products or create an app to help customers when they use your products. Be creative with your campaign, and find something that is both helpful and original. Let people download your app from your site and share it on different app directories so that more people download it.

If you apply these tips and keep track of how you’re mobile marketing campaign is doing, you will create the foundation for a profitable and long lasting business.

Happy Marketing!

Blog Vs. Websites

A question that comes up a lot for me is; exactly what is the purpose of my blog? Is it there just to take up space? Do I use it to share my random thoughts and opinions about different subjects? Or is there actually a method to my madness? Well, it can be all of those things and more. If a blog site is something your are interested in exploring, it really just depends on your specific goals and what position you want to take on the world wide web.  Let’s take a moment and see if I can shed some light on the subject

Brief History

Coined in 1997 by Jorn Barger, the word “Blog” originates from the combination of the phrase, “Web Log”. The overall structure of a Blog resembles that of a regularly updated journal or diary that is posted on the Internet by the writer.

Now, I remember hearing about Blogs growing up, but back then it seemed the topics mainly consisted of political banter or some kind of breaking news report that you would not necessary hear about from mainstream media.

Today, you have a multitude of bloggers and topics ranging from the rants of a disgruntled network marketer or employee to the fashion advice of the “stylista”. Also, with the growing popularity of Online and Network Marketing, the blog site has become a “must have” tool of the trade. Why? Because of the ridiculous amounts of people you can reach through the Internet from all over the globe. I just had visitors from Brazil on my site! Crazy!! =)

What’s the difference between a Blog and a Website?

A blog is basically a free or hosted website that is formatted in a specific way that is distinctive from the traditional website. Unlike a web site, blogs utilizes both Pages and Posts. Pages are normally static in nature and is used to provide basic information on a particular subject, which usually never changes.

An example of a page would be a Contact Me page or an About Me page.  A Post on the other hand, located on the Home Page or as a separate area within your site, is one of the main elements that differentiate a blog from a website

It is made up of the ongoing and updated articles of the blogger, and also provides a section for the reader to comment and have a rapport with the blogger. The main purpose is to develop a relationship with your readers and if you have a business, provides you with  a list of potential clientele….The power is in the list.

The topic of these articles is determined by the type of blog site the individual is producing. In other words, subject matter is usually targeted to a specific demographic or group depending on the intentions of the blogger.

In Essence, a blog is a more personal and intimate look at you; the writer/business owner, whereas a traditional website focuses mainly on your business, product or organization. If making money online through your products or services is a goal for you, then in order to be competitive these days,  you do need to develope an on online presence and  incorporate a website that showcases your business as well as maintaining a blog.

People like to do business with someone they know and can trust. Utilizing a blog that showcases YOU the individual, gives people the opportunity to get to know who you are and provides a platform for branding yourself as well as your business. If you are a home business owner, it is even more important to market yourself through a blog.

3 Basic Steps To Blogging Success

3 Basic Steps To Blogging Success

blog|blogging bacis 101

If you have been thinking that blogging would be fun, and maybe even profitable, but you just don’t know where to start, I can help. Setting up your new blog is not difficult at all, even if you are an absolute beginner.  These simple steps can be learned and completed by most people in a few hours time.

Key points you need to keep in mind before you jump into Blogging

 1. What Type of blog would you like to have?

Will you be sharing information about your favorite hobbies? Are you going to use your blog as a way to keep in touch with family and friends?  Or do you want to utilize your blog to build an online, home based business?  This step is crucial in determining several other factors related to your blog.

For example, if you are building a blog to share your expertise or keep in touch with family, you can probably just stick with the various free blogging platforms around such as Blogger.com, WordPress.com, Squidoo.com, Hubpages.com, etc.

There is really no need for you as a ‘personal blogger’ to invest in your own domain name and hosting account, of course you can if you want, but its not really necessary.

If, on the other hand, your blog is going to be for your home business and you are setting it up with the sole purpose of making an income online, then you need to invest in a domain name which can be purchased for a small fee from places like Godaddy.com, and a hosting account; the most popular being HostGator.com. Also, be aware that for a marketing site you will want to use a self hosted platform like WordPress.org vs. Wordpres.com.

Think of it like this; you wouldn’t open a fast food franchise in someone else’s building would you?  Having wordpress.com, is likened to having a contract stating that you were renting the space for your fast food joint and therefore you have little to no control. Whereas, having a self hosted platform like wordpress.org would mean that you owned the building outright and therefore could do anything you wanted with that space.  When you own your domain name and you have your own hosted blog, you become the proud owner of some prime real estate online.  This is important for the long term success of your business.

2.  Choose a Laser focused Topic for your blog.

This topic, or niche, will largely determine whether or not you succeed online.  Too many people just jump into a niche because they like it without having spent time researching whether or not it’s a viable market for them to make money in. Also, being too general about what your blog is all about can have a negative effect.

One of the best gauges of a good niche market is how many people are buying products related to that market or how many people are actively searching for that product or service?  No matter how many people might like a certain niche, the real question to ask yourself is do they actually spend money on it?

You can use certain free tools to determine this, may favorite is Google Keyword PlannerUsing a good keyword search tool will help you find out what people are searching for on the net. For example, if  you decide to sell “doggie sweaters”, you can type in the keyword “doggie sweaters” in a search tool program to see if people are actually searching for that item. If it turns out to be a populare keyword, then you could probably make money on it. Keyword analysis is kind of a complicated strategy, and much to complex to get into here, but it can be very profitable if you are willing to take the time to learn how it works.

 3. Pick a theme that you would like for your blog.

You can find hundreds of  nice themes for free that come with both WordPress versions.  Just pick a style that works for the subject of your blog. Choose something that expresses your individual style.

If you are building a business blog you may also want to install some plugins that will increase the functionality of your blog.  A plugin is similar in concept to an app for a smart phone, it’s just a small software program that will enable you do to more awesome things with your blog.  There are thousands of plugins available that can make the blogging process easier during your set up process, and most of them are free.

These tips will help to get you started in creating a blog you can be proud of.

No matter what type of blog you are putting together remember to enjoy yourself, blogging really is fun!
